Townsville Day Surgery, through its pursuit of best
practice initiatives and its commitment to continual improvements
in quality health care, is truly dedicated to, and an effective model for, all day surgery services to our community. Townsville Day Surgery is a private health facility licensed by Queensland Health.

Townsville Day Surgery was established in 2003 and is founded on a definite need for a quality surgical unit, to provide a more personalised service, and an alternative to the major hospitals in our northern region.

As the “Facility Manager” of the Townsville Day Surgery unit, united with all our highly skilled nursing staff and Visiting Medical Professionals, I see our role within the community as actively promoting safe, same day surgery by providing the most modern theatre equipment and technology together with an ongoing commitment to nurse education and quality service delivery.

We provide a wide range of surgical, endoscopic, dental and IVF services from these modern and comfortable surroundings. And actively strive to maintain delivery of first class care.

In keeping with this philosophy our nursing and support staff are trained to offer the best, most effective peri-operative care in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Townsville Day Surgery has established strong links and contracts with all major health insurance providers along with a reasonable rate structure for the uninsured. A quality private day surgery is now available to all members of our community and is provided with a deep respect for personal dignity and privacy with consideration given to your individual requirements.
